Brazil’s preparations for the 2019 Copa America continue in Milton Keynes on Tuesday, when they face Cameroon at Stadium MK.
Tite’s side did enough to beat Uruguay on Thursday, with a Neymar penalty the difference between the two South American countries, but the coach will be seeking a more commanding result and performance when they face opponents who are largely based in Europe.
Cameroon have long been renowned as one of Africa’s giants, but missed the World Cup in the summer. They will host the Africa Cup of Nations in June and July, when they will defend their title, and are seeking to size themselves up against one of the best in the game.

Petrus Boumal withdrew from the squad because of injury, while Cameroon are also missing their most recognised frontman in the form of Vincent Aboubakar. Left-back Ambroise Oyongo of Montpellier is absent.

Brazil made it five wins from five post-World Cup matches at the Emirates Stadium on Friday as they defeated Uruguay 1-0 thanks to a controversial Neymar penalty quarter of an hour from time.
Tite’s side may not show the explosive brilliance of Brazilian teams in the past, but they have been something of a relentless winning machine, with the one exception the 2-1 World Cup quarter-final loss to Belgium in Kazan.
That is their only slip in their last nine matches, in which they have kept a remarkable eight clean sheets.
Against Cameroon, they will aim to marry that solidarity with a more efficient offensive display, with Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar expected to shine after being handed the captaincy earlier this week.
Speaking after the Uruguay victory, he affirmed: “We have to improve still. We know we can be better. We know we have to adjust things, which I think will help our team and our football.”
Against Clarence Seedorf’s Cameroon, Brazil will aim to make those steps.
The Africans find themselves very much in a transitional phase, under the Dutchman, who will take charge of his fifth match at Stadium MK. His sole victory came at home against Malawi via a 1-0 margin, while away draws against that same opponent and Comoros do not bode well, particularly as Cameroon were well beaten 2-0 in Morocco last week.
This is undoubtedly Seedorf’s biggest test to date and even remaining competitive against reliable Brazil would be seen as something of an achievement.
