On Thursday, the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Houston Rockets for what will be the first game in a 25-game race to the NBA playoffs. On today’s podcasts, we broke down the tough road ahead for the Lakers with a special guest and answered a few questions from our listeners.
Can You Dig It?
The next few weeks will either be one of the most memorable post-All-Star break runs in Lakers history, or the beginning of the end of a disappointing chapter in the LeBron James era in Los Angeles.
On this week’s episode of “Can You Dig It?”, Christian and Grant invited lifelong Lakers fan and one of NBA 2KTV’s new hosts, Chris Manning (@LD2K), to break down whether or not the playoffs are a realistic goal for Los Angeles. Manning also discussed his return to the NBA 2K community, and what he wants to bring to 2KTV alongside Alexis Morgan.

Locked on Lakers
Having thoroughly covered everything there is to talk about over the last week-plus between Lakers games, Anthony hopped on Twitter to ask those who can’t leave iTunes review questions what they wanted to talk about. The result was quite a few really fun topics.
As per usual, most people wanted to talk about the upcoming offseason. Anthony discussed everything from underrated acquisitions the Lakers could make to best and worst-case scenarios — and not just on the court.
A fun question that was asked was whether Anthony would prefer to see the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals or have them land a top-10 pick. Given what the direction of the team was heading into this season, this should be relatively easy to answer. Bring on the Golden State Warriors.
The most interesting question was regarding the partnership between Magic Johnson and LeBron. There are several layers to this, but Anthony tried to get to all of them.
