The Los Angeles Lakers have now played 11 games without LeBron James and while there has been some flashes of good play during that stretch, it has been mostly bad. In today’s podcasts, we discuss what changes need to be made in order for the Lakers to survive the upcoming road trip without James.
Can You Dig It?
The Lakers are in need of a change. Head coach Luke Walton took a step in the right direction by altering their starting lineup, but that’s a start, not a solution. What other changes can be made to help the Lakers become a better team until James returns?
Grant, Christian and special guest Alex Regla of Silver Screen and Roll dissect all of the ways the Lakers can improve, including a head coaching change, a shooting coach, trades, rotation adjustments and other things.

Locked on Lakers
On today’s episode, Anthony welcomed Dr. Jennifer Irwin (the smarter half of their household) to discuss LeBron James’ injury, based on what little actual information we have. Rich Paul has alluded to it being a tendon issue, which makes this a little more complicated, and Jen gets into that. She also answers the question most are wondering about: Is a groin strain the kind of injury that can easily be re-aggravated?
In the second segment, Anthony discusses the issues with speculating on James’ return timeframe, and any injury in general. There simply isn’t enough information to do so.
Then, in the third segment, he discusses the differences in how James’ team prefers to release information about his return and how the Lakers have been handling that information over the last few years. This also shines a light on the fascinating dynamic between the Lakers and James. It’s quite the power struggle.
