Especially to celebrate the Whitney Contemporaries, a young patron group affiliated with the Whitney Museum of American Art, Italian designer label launched window display ‘Darkness at Sunrise’. The installation created by artist Ryan Humphrey, is the special October 2009 window at the New York Moschino boutique. The piece is inspired by Moschino’s Fall/Winter 2009 collection.
For one night only, Moschino, Vogue, and the Whitney Contemporaries hosted an invitation-only cocktail party with committee members Allison Aston, Maggie Betts, Coco Brandolini, Melissa Gellman Weiss, Adam Lippes, and Harley Viera-Newton at the Meatpacking District boutique. The movers and shakers of the fashion and art industry enjoyed an exclusive preview of the Moschino Spring/Summer 2010 collection as well as other work by Humphrey.
