Step aside George: there’s a pair of beautiful new Clooneys ready for their close-up.
The world’s most famous twins, Ella and Alexander Clooney, met their grandparents via Skype just two hours after their birth—and which of the infants has George’s features is already being hotly debated by their grandparents.
“They are gorgeous. Nina [Warren] swears they have George’s nose,” proud grandfather Nick Clooney, 83, told Cincinnati WXIX anchor Tricia Macke from the family home in Kentucky. “Not both of them, one of them. The little boy looked like he had [George’s] nose. His little profile.”
He added: “And I love their names, Alexander and Ella. Both sound terrific.”
Clooney said that Amal—whom he described as “superwoman”—facilitated the Skype conversation during her recovery after giving birth in London.

Clooney said the children both have dark hair and “are gorgeous.” As for new mom Amal, the doting grandpa said she’s doing “terrifically well.” “Both George and Amal are doing wonderfully well,” Clooney added. “George, well, his eyes were glazed so I’m not sure that he was sober,” Clooney joked.
Nick Clooney already has two adult grandchildren—and, although they’re thrilled to welcome Ella and Alexander into the world, that doesn’t mean they’ll be rushing overseas to visit the little ones anytime soon.
“They have enough on their plate to have some visiting grandparents coming in to London,” Clooney told Macke. “So we’ll leave that one entirely up to them.”
Amal’s father, Ramzi Alamuddin, was in Beirut when he told French news agency AFP that the new parents “are in great health.”

“Everything is perfect,” he said. “I’m very happy for them, they will be great parents.”
Meanwhile, Amal’s mother, Baria, who was present for the birth and even brought gifts for the babies, told the AFP that the family is “over the moon.”
“It was a beautiful delivery,” she said. “Everything went well. the babies are beautiful and doing well.”
