Wenger gets one over Mourinho – It’s your comments of the week

AS THE ALL-IRELAND hurling championship came to a crescendo last weekend, The Sunday Game panel made some big calls as they selected their team of the year.

As is always the case in selections like this, there are some controversial decisions and Pat Buckley was quick off the mark with this remark:

There was also controversy in Italy last week as Lewis Hamilton’s victory at the Italian Grand Prix stood despite an investigation into whether he was running on low pressure tyres.

But it was the Britain’s hair that got most of you talking, with Keelan O’Neill summing up what everyone was thinking:

Staying on the controversial theme this week, Toulon became embroiled in a doping scandal despite their president denying the claims.

Mourad Boudjellal produced an unbelievable response by invoking the spirit of Lance Armstrong. The Toulon president attempted to make light of the situation by posting a photo of himself lying on a couch with the club’s silverware in the background.

But, as Bob Frapples, pointed out, if he had anything to do with it, Toulon were unlikely to have run a doping programme.

With the news of Thibaut Courtois’ knee injury, Alan O’Driscoll – an Arsenal fan, do doubt – reminded everyone that it’s now 1-0 to Mr Wenger.
