Moroccan International striker Youssef En-Nesyri (25) has agreed to join OGC Nice, according to a report from Foot Mercato. The Ineos-owned club is looking for attacking reinforcements this winter transfer window, and were previously favouring the signing of Ligue 1’s second best goalscorer Terem Moffi.
But it appears FC Lorient is holding firm and playing hardball with their Ligue 1 rivals for the Nigerian forward, who has already agreed to the switch. With talks stalling between Lorient and Nice, Les Aiglons are currently exploring alternative options, one of which being Sevilla striker En-Nesyri.
The Moroccan international, who helped the Atlas Lions in becoming the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup in Qatar, has reportedly agreed to join Ligue 1’s tenth-placed side. His current club, Sevilla, are seriously struggling this season and sit an incomfortable 19th place in La Liga. Considering his limited game time in Andalusia, Nice may find it easier and cheaper to reach a deal with Sevilla rather than Lorient with Moffi. Foot Mercato add that Nice are hoping to act swiftly in the transfer window.
