Good news for Marseille: new signing Ruslan Malinovskyi (29) has been named in the OM squad that will take on relegation-battlers Troyes tonight for Ligue 1 gameweek 18. The Ukrainian international midfielder has joined OM from Atalanta on a six-month loan, with a mandatory purchase option reportedly set at €10m plus €3m in potential bonuses, depending on whether OM qualify for next season’s Champions League.

After having trained yesterday and met Ukrainian children with their families, the 29-year-old has been named in the squad by Croatian manager Igor Tudor and may get his first Ligue 1 outing tonight at Troyes’ Stade de l’Aube. Third-placed Marseille will be without Dimitri Payet, who is nursing an ankle injury, Jonathan Clauss, who is not yet back to full fitness, Nuno Tavares and Eric Bailly, both of whom are suspended. Teenage Cameroonian prospect François Regis Mughe has also been named for the first time. OM will look to clinch a 5th consecutive Ligue 1 win in order to stake their claim for a Champions League qualifying spot.
