AEW Dark results: Konosuke Takeshita vs. Cole Karter

This week's AEW Dark featured matches taped at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

AR Fox defeated Nick Comoroto

Comoroto took Fox off his feet at the beginning before knocking him down with a big boot. Fox quickly recovered and turned a springboard maneuver into a bulldog. Comoroto tried to maintain control by applying a gut wrench, but Fox escaped by hitting him with a kick to the head.

Moments later, Fox took out Comoroto with a dive at ringside. He hit another dive before tossing Comoroto back in the ring where he was able to take down Fox with a uranage. After failing to successfully get the win, Comoroto tried to take down Fox with some type of slam, but Fox was able to reverse. He then quickly went to the top rope and hit Comoroto with a swanton bomb and a 450 splash to pick up the victory.

Skye Blue defeated Queen Aminata

This was a surprisingly fun match.

Blue and Aminata started off by trying to outdo one another. The match quickly spilled to the outside where Aminata sent Blue crashing into the floor with a suplex. Blue then proceeded to drop Aminata face-first on the apron before taking her out at ringside with a diving crossbody.

The match spilled back in the ring followed by the two women trading strikes for an extended period of time. Aminata got the upper hand after cracking Blue with a headbutt and a hip attack. Aminata then tried to capitalize on her momentum, but Blue hit her with superkick and a flatliner to score the win.

Evil Uno defeated Alexander Moss

The two exchanged chops in the early stages and quickly after, Uno drove Moss into the mat with not one, but two piledrivers to wrap the match quickly.

Marina Shafir defeated Steph De Lander

This was the AEW debut for the former Persia Pirotta in WWE NXT.

Shafir was matched in terms of physicality early on as Lander charged her in the corner with an elbow. Shafir turned the tables and caught one of Lander's roundhouse kick attempts, turning it into a submission that made Lander submit quickly.

Zack Clayton defeated Schaff

Clayton had control from the get-go which led to him picking up the victory in roughly two minutes after drilling Schaff with a modified brainbuster.

Top Flight defeated Liam Gray & Adrian Alanis

Dante Martin took down Alanis with a shoulderblock early and tagged out to Darius Martin, who came in and hit a senton. The match spilled outside where Dante and Darius tried to dive on their opponents, but ultimately failed.

Alanis was able to isolate Darius for a moment, allowing Gray to come in. The duo took out Darius with a suplex/crossbody combo that got a near fall that Dante broke up. Moments later, Darius caught Gray with a head kick which was followed by a modified flatliner from Dante which got the brothers the win.

Brady Booker defeated Serpentico

Booker (the former Bodhi Hayward in WWE NXT) performed a couple of his signature up downs on Serpentico to start but Serpentico responded with a dropkick. Serpentico then tried to hit Booker with a diving senton, but Booker moved out of the way and took him out with a shoulder tackle and a jumping splash.

Booker would end up making Serpentico submit with a torture rack shortly after.

Konosuke Takeshita defeated Cole Karter

Takeshita and Karter exchanged reversals back and forth as the opening bell rang. Karter took brief control after stomping down Takeshita on the mat. Karter further retained his control, hitting Takeshita with a dropkick that resulted in a near fall.

Takeshita eventually made it back to his feet and delivered a few thunderous chops. Seconds later, Takeshita took out Karter with a dive on the outside, much to the thrill of the live crowd.

Takeshita and Karter then engaged in a striking war inside the ring, leading to Karter hitting him with a TKO. Karter then tried to hit a 450, but Takeshita rolled out of the way and hit him with a jumping knee strike to the back. Takeshita then finished things off after hitting Karter with his signature running knee strike.
