WWE SmackDown draws best 18-49 demo rating in nearly three years

Friday night's episode of WWE SmackDown averaged 2.561 million viewers on Fox, up two percent from the previous week. That topped all of network television for the night, which is a rarity for SmackDown. It's the best audience total for the show since June 7 and is SmackDown's second-highest viewership of the year to date.

The episode took place at Madison Square Garden and featured The Trial of Roman Reigns. It was Reigns' first appearance since being pinned by Jey Uso at Money in the Bank.

It's the best rating for the show since Christmas night 2020 when SmackDown had an NFL lead-in. Excluding that, it's the best rating for SmackDown since February 28, 2020.

As compared to the same week in 2022, SmackDown was up 20.3 percent in overall viewers and up an incredible 61.7 percent in the 18-49 demo.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo ratings for SmackDown, as well as the 10-week averages in both categories. This week's show was up 10.8 percent in overall viewers and up 24.6 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
