AEW issues updated list of banned & approval required moves

In an effort to protect the health of both wrestlers, fans and those that work for the company, AEW issued an updated memo to talent earlier this week with a recently updated list of banned moves as well as those that require prior approval.

The list was first reported by Fightful and confirmed by PWInsider who also reported that those who violate the following will be fined.

Here's the list of moves no longer "allowed under any circumstances" that are "prohibited for your safety, safety of the staff and crew, safety of our fans, and compliance with laws and venue requirements."

Additionally, the memo included an updated list of moves "that cannot be utilized unless approved by the company's medical team and the producer/coach of the match involved (meaning both sides must be in accordance on approving it, not one or the other) and that the moves can only be utilized within the safety protocols advised to talents," according to PWInsider.

Those moves are:

According to the memo, any of the above can be changed or updated at any time as it's not a comprehensive list.

It's unknown if there was something specific that resulted in the list being updated and if it also applies to Ring of Honor talent as well.
