PSG President Al-Khelaifi on player salary reductions: “I am expecting them to make an effort for their club.”

Speaking in an interview with RMC Sport, PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi appeared to confirm that there are ongoing discussions between the club and its players for them to take a salary reduction, as COVID-19 continues to see football sides bleed cash.

“I am expecting them to make an effort for their club. They know their responsibilities.”

“I also want each one to take up their responsibilities by keeping up their fitness, so that they are ready to return to competitive action when the opportunity presents itself. Because it won’t have escaped your attention that the end of our season will see us be involved in significant sporting occasions.”
