After some initial discussions per RMC Sport, PSG have decided to refuse further conversations with Atletico Madrid about selling Edinson Cavani to them this month, according to L’Équipe.
Cavani’s entourage has recently met with PSG Sporting Director Leonardo, who informed them that he would block El Matador’s exit this month. The Brazilian explained that in order to facilitate a deal, PSG would need to find a replacement first, and they feel that three weeks is not long enough to do so.
Therefore, Cavani, the club’s highest goal-scorer in history, will go until the end of his current deal which expires in June, before joining Atletico Madrid or a Premier League club.
