Monaco set to sign Strahinja Pavlovic for €10m plus bonuses

Serbian outlet Mozzart Sport report that Ligue 1 side AS Monaco have completed a €10m plus bonuses deal with Partizan Belgrade to sign 18-year-old central defender Strahinja Pavlovic this January.

Asked about the talented teenager who has played 28 1st division matches since February 2019 by RMC recently, AS Monaco Vice President Oleg Petrov kept his cards close to his chest: “I will not make a comment on that at the moment. But yes, he is a player who is improving, who is gaining experience and who is being watched by a number of clubs. Monaco is one of them.”

The reported deal, €10m plus additional bonuses, sees Monaco best PSV, Marseille, Lazio and Celtic, who had all been keeping tabs on Pavlovic.

Mozzart Sport claim that Partizan will receive an additional €2m if Pavlovic plays for Monaco 25 times in 2020. If Monaco qualify for the Champions’ League between now and 2024, ASM will owe Partizan an additional €1m on top of that.

Finally, Partizan will retain a 10% sell-on percentage fee in the deal.
