Nantes have confirmed the departure of manager Claudio Ranieri at the end of this campaign in a press release this morning.
The Italian had a number of differences with President Kita, and his Nantes side, although arguably over-performing throughout this campaign, played a dire style of football.
Ranieri had the following to say on his departure in a press conference earlier today:
“I have a good relationship with the Kita family. I thank the president. Everyone was fantastic, I found Nantes to be marvellous… I do not feel like we have failed here, I am very happy to have come here.”
