Curtis Langdon: Worcester Warriors hooker on his way to Montpellier

Top 14 champions Montpellier are the latest club to take advantage of suspended Premiership outfit Worcester Warriors’ struggles by securing the services of England hooker Curtis Langdon.

The 25-year-old, who won two Test caps against the USA and Canada in 2021, has signed a contract with Montpellier for the rest of the season and he joins them with immediate effect.

The former Sale Sharks player joined Worcester Warriors at the start season but his contract at the Sixways-based outfit was terminated when the club went into administration earlier this month.

The Warriors are also partially liquidated with HM Revenue and Customs pursuing unpaid tax totalling an estimated amount of £6million.

Worcester were also suspended from the Premiership and face relegation at the end of the current season.

Several of Worcester’s players, including club captain Ted Hill, Scotland flyer Duhan van der Merwe, England centre Ollie Lawrence, fly-half Fin Smith, locks Joe Batley and Andrew Kitchener have also joined other clubs.
