Veteran Springbok utility back Frans Steyn is used to dishing out punishment on the rugby pitch, but he recently got a taste of his own medicine in South Africa.
35-year-old Steyn turned out for the Cheetahs in their Currie Cup Premier Division clash with the Griffons in Welkom.
Starting at inside centre, Steyn was joined in the starting lineup by fellow Springbok Ruan Pienaar in a match where the Cheetahs were the clear favourites to come out on top.

The Bloemfontein-based side did not disappoint, posting a 6-40 half-time lead over their hosts.
Winger Munier Hartzenberg scored three times in the first half, with the visitors running in six tries in the opening 40 minutes.
Despite the dominance, there is one moment that Griffons’ centre Marquit September certainly won’t forget.
From a scrum, Cheetahs’ number eight, Andisa Ntsila, picked up from the base and passed the ball out to an on-rushing Steyn.
September stood his ground and launched into the Springbok veteran, driving him backwards.
His initial contact dislodged the ball from Steyn’s hands, and the Griffons midfielder made the most of the opportunity to drive his opposite number backwards.

Steyn flipped the opposing number 12 to the ground after being driven back some distance with a small melee ensuing.
The Cheetahs were penalised for an infringement before the tackle occurred.
However, September will undoubtedly tell the story of the time he managed to land a crunching hit on a two-time Rugby World Cup-winning Springbok.
While the Cheetahs stormed to a comprehensive half-time lead, they could only add 12 further points to their tally in the second stanza.
Hartzenberg ran in another try to take his tally on the day to four tries, with replacement back Cohen Jasper grabbing a five-pointer of his own.
