NORTHERN CT — Halloween has arrived, and in a few short hours, youngsters will be dressed up in all kinds of costumes going door-to-door to collect some treats. Some homeowners in Suffield, Enfield, Windsor Locks and East Windsor have gone out of their way (and in some cases, a little too far over the top) in preparing their yards for the arrival of the kids (some of whom will be dressed as pimply-faced teenagers).
Patch took a quick jaunt through some neighborhoods in those towns Thursday morning, to see what kinds of displays could be found. For some reason, there seems to be a proliferation of inflatable decor this year, but many other homes were what could be called highly-original works of art.
Here is a random sampling of some displays found in the area. By no means do we claim to have gone down every road, or into every neighborhood, or sought out the best (or on occasion, the worst). These are simply some interesting set-ups we found in our travels.
