Chantelle was named the much-coveted Lingerie Brand of the Year,
following in the footsteps of Gossard, who was given the award last
year and won this year’s UK’s Favorite Lingerie Brand for the second
year running. Ultimo won the third People’s Choice Award and was named
UK’s Favorite British Designer of the year.
A special lifetime achievement award was given to Gold as well during
the ceremony, in honor of her long standing career within the lingerie
industry, which first began for her at the age of 21 when she
transformed her father’s business. Other winners included Wolford, who
was named Shapewear Brand of the Year, Freya Active, who was awarded
Sports Bra Brand of the Year and Lorna Drew, who was titled Maternity
Brand of the year.
“This year’s list of winners demonstrates the talent, creativity and
sheer determination that can be found within the UK lingerie
industry,” commented Sarah Blackman, editor of the Award’s organizer’s
business magazine, Lingerie Insight. “I know, from speaking to each
of the winners individually, how hard they work throughout the year
and tonight has quite rightly recognized what they have achieved.”
“I would like to congratulate our winners, and indeed all of our
finalists, and wish them every success in the year ahead.”
