British fashion and accessories trade fair Pure welcomed some of fashion’s most important buyers last week. Included in the mix were buyers from high end department stores like Harvey Nichols, Harrods, Selfridges, El Corte Ingles and Bloomingdales and independent stores like Shu Shu, Subcouture and Psyche. The organisation received enthusiastic reactions from buyers who commended the show for its introduction of new brands. Participants spoke about the large number of visitors and the considerable amounts of orders they wrote. The organisation was relieves to report that “although the industry reflects signs of tough trading in retail, Pure continued to attract quality retailers with many orders being made and Pure remained as busy as last August’s show.” Reactions to the Accessories division, which was the largest ever since the trade show began, were equally enthusiastic. “Pure is really important for us to get into the UK market,” said Stefania Sassi, area manager for jeans brand Liu-Jo. “In other shows we show for Public Relations – at Pure we take orders.”
