There are many unheard stories in Indian elections. Many facts about Indian democracy, the largest in the world, make it the most interesting too. Candidates as well as voters try to make the most of the opportunity that they get every five years. There are many first timers on the block as well. This time, Mizoram will see a woman candidate for the very first time. Mizoram has only one Lok Sabha seat and numerically its a women dominated seat. However, it has never seen any woman candidate before. This time, a woman is in the fray.
The candidate, identified as Lalthlamuani is also a Jew by faith. This makes her the first Jewish candidate as well. Lalthlamuani who is a Jew runs an NGO called Chhinlung Israel People Convention (CIPC) and she is contesting as an independent.
