His open book shop, popularly known as Alwar Kadai (Alwar’s shop) has been the go to destination for Chennai’s book lovers who were looking for rare books.
Alwar, passed away on Friday at the age of 95 due to age-related ailments. he has been bed-ridden for nearly five years and the shop was run by his family.
