Rennes defender Loïc Badé set to join Sevilla following Nottingham Forest loan

L’Équipe report this morning that after returnng from his loan spell at Nottingham Forest, Rennes defneder Loïc Badé is now expected to join Sevilla on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old, who did not appear for the newly-promoted Premier League side in league play during his half a season there, remains under contract with the Breton team until 2026.

Badé made the move from Lens in the summer of 2021, having been in the north of France for a season in the top flight after arriving from his formative club Le Havre, and before that was at Paris FC. He impressed in his first season at Rennes. His move across the Channel though, has decidedly not worked out, leading to his recall during the international break.

The centre-back is now expected to move to Andalusia imminently, even if a definitive deal has yet to be found between the two teams.
