BERWYN, PA — With heavy hearts, the members of the Berwyn Fire Company regret to announce the recent passing of Life Member Anthony (Doodles) DiAndrea, Jr. at the age of 84.

Anthony was an active member alongside his father, the late Anthony (Raggs) DiAndrea, who also attained life member status during his tenure with the company.
Anthony was a second-generation volunteer firefighter who faithfully served the Tredyffrin-Easttown community. His father served for 65 years and also had the High Fire Call Award named after him.

The DiAndrea Family as a whole has deep roots in the community and with the Company. Anthony’s uncle and nephew also earned life member status, and 20 years of service, as volunteers with the company.
Anthony lived his entire life in Berwyn and was a graduate of Conestoga High School. He proudly worked for 55 years at the Pierce & Stevens Chemical Corporation.

Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Winifred (Freddie) DiAndrea. The two were married on Aug.17, 1963. Together they shared 59 loving years of marriage. Winifred also served with the Berwyn Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary Unit for many years.
He was the devoted father of Michael DiAndrea & his wife Amanda of Berwyn, Tony DiAndrea of Berwyn, Lisa DiAndrea-Thomas & husband Craig of Crosby, TX, and Jennifer DiAndrea of Coatesville.
Anthony was also the loving grandfather to Kimberly, Amy, Tyler, Victoria, Ryan, Alex, Andrew, Stephanie, Jason, Jesse, & Kyle as well as 6 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. The Company sends its deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.
