Le Parisien report this afternoon that former French national team coach and PSG manager Laurent Blanc is the frontrunner to replace Bruno Génésio as the boss of Lyon at the end of the season.
Both Blanc and Lyon are interested in making a deal happen, with the French coach having initially desired an experience abroad after being sacked by PSG in 2016.
Blanc, who has won 15 titles as a manager, has an impressive CV, despite being out of the game for nearly 3 years. He has in fact already begun to make arrangements over his preferred coaching staff were he to take on the challenge with Les Gones. Franck Passi would join him as an assistant and Philippe Lambert as a fitness coach.

Abroad, he retains a keen eye on developments at Sevilla and Chelsea, who have been in contact with Blanc previously – the Frenchman held advanced talks with the London side last season, before eventually being pipped to the post by Maurizio Sarri.
