Official | Stoppila Sunzu joins Metz in Ligue 2 from Lille

FC Metz have today completed the signing of defender Stoppila Sunzu from Lille.

The 29-year-old defender moves to the Stade Saint-Symphorien for a fee understood to be €800k, on a 2-year contract.

Sunzu spent last season on loan at Russian side Arsenal Tula, where he made 29 appearances and scored 2 goals.

The 6ft 2 in centre-back has also played for Sochaux and Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua.

Sunzu is an experienced Zambian international, having amassed 74 caps for his country since 2008.

The defender is set to link up with his former manager Frédéric Antonetti- who was previously appointed Lille head coach in November 2015, three months after Sunzu was initially loaned to the club in Northern France.
