Sunderland have loaned former Chelsea and Nantes central defender Papy Djilobodji to Dijon without an option to buy.
The Senegalese centre-back is expected to add some experience and muscle to the Dijon backline.
The decision to not have an option to buy at the end of the loan agreement does suggest that the defender has a future at Sunderland.
Djilobodji is making his return to Ligue 1 after two years away. However, the defender has plenty of experience of Ligue 1 after spending 5 years at Nantes.
